The Versatile Accessory

I have heard so many women/girls complain about the difficulty of finding an accessory that is versatile. Versatility to me means something that can surpass the seasons (all four: Winter, Spring, Summer, Autumn) and the years following the trends.

One example of versatility is the little black dress. Not only can it be freshened up to match new trends, it can be worn every season, every year.

Accessories can be hard to make versatile because they follow trends very closely.

The most versatile accessory is the scarf. Scarves can be worn in several different ways and also can change the complete look of an outfit.

How can you pick a timeless scarf?

If you're afraid of prints go for a solid color like number 4.
If you're afraid of a color, go for a neutral color (black, navy, gray, white, brown, khaki), and you can also go for a neutral print.
If you're unafraid of color/print go for it there are several different shades and colors and different pops.

What about shape?

There are a few different shapes for scarves, there are square shaped scarves, they make a triangle shape when folded like number 5.

And there are infinity scarves, they are circular and give a fuller look to an outfit.
Lastly there are rectangle scarves, these are a really common shape and they are used for various things
Scarves are great for every season, because they serve a dual purpose, cute accessory and extra warmth. You'd be surprised how well they can fit into any wardrobe.

A great place to pick up scarves is the thrift store, not only are they cheaper, they can be something from a past season to update your look.
